2017 Campaign - A Boat for Everyone!

"We're more than just a boat

...but we REALLY need a boat!"

YES!  We need your help to buy a boat.

How much is needed?
$100,000 (individual donations, grants, sponsorship by businesses)

When do we need it?
    By the 2018 cruise season

We'll post updates here and on Facebook as we progress.

Why?

To serve our community, we need to have more control over the vessel we use. For the past 10 years, we have chartered the MV Haendel from Ithaca Boat Tours, and have enjoyed an excellent working relationship. However, this arrangement is now precluding us for offering reliable, affordable programs.  A boat of our own will allow us to:
  • reliable, flexible service to local schools and organizations
  • partner with volunteer monitors and lake organizations
  • outfit our vessel with environmentally sound systems
  • introduce edu-tourism in support of our educational mission
How You Can Help

We will be running a series of short fundraising drives this year to make tangible progress toward this ambitious goal. We hope that you can help in whatever way you are able. Our summer fundraising drive aims to raise $10,000 by August 31.

Spring fundraising update

Thanks to your support, we've raised $1605 so far this spring.
