A boat for everyone

We need your help to make this a reality

We're much more than just a boat.

But, we really do need a boat!

The boat we're fundraising for, The Teal, will allow us to
  • Ensure a financially sustainable future for the Cayuga Lake Floating Classroom
  • Offer more reliable & flexible service
  • Take out any class size or group size on the lake
  • Support volunteer monitors and lake organizations
  • Seek and implement environmentally sound solutions
  • Introduce eco-tourism in support of our educational mission

The MV Teal, above, is available for the Floating Classroom to purchase!

How much is needed? The MV Teal is being held for us, in anticipation of the 2018 cruise season. To secure this boat, we've created a funding strategy that includes support from local tourism programs, and grants. There still remains a gap of $60,000 (of the ~$165,000 total cost) that we need to make up, and that will only be possible through donations and business sponsorships.

When do we need it? We need to have our fundraising goals met by April of 2018. BUT a generous sponsor has offered to match every donation received between Labor Day and December 31, 2017, dollar for dollar! That's right - you donate $100 and we'll receive $200. Donate $1000 and we'll receive $2000!

We'll post updates here and on Facebook as we progress.
