Educational Cruises and Services
In keeping with our organizational mission, the Cayuga Lake Floating Classroom offers hands-on, educational expeditions for community groups and classes, 5th grade through college, on beautiful Cayuga Lake from May-October.

Trout in the Classroom

We offer "Trout in the Classroom" school-based programs from October-May.  Cold-water aquariums and live trout provide discovery-based learning for students from 18 schools, throughout Tompkins County and beyond!

Upcoming Eco Tourism In 2018

"Discover Cayuga" eco-tourism in 2018

We're introducing an exciting new tourism program in 2018- "Discover Cayuga Lake Cruises".   All proceeds from private charters and public cruises aboard the MV Teal (with your help) will support our continuing "Floating Classroom" mission of education and equitable lake access for young people.

About Us

The not-for-profit Cayuga Lake Floating Classroom provides experiential learning opportunities that promote academic achievement, environmental literacy, and lifelong relationships with the waterways that define our communities.

There are many ways to explore your environment, including checking out some Cayuga Lake data collected by students on the Cayuga Lake Floating Classroom!
